The store was created as a twist on Singapore interior design, by Home Guide. A palette of black, and the grey of rough concrete allowed the bright colours of the merchandise to pop, adding more energy to the sport. A custom display system was designed to allow smaller products to stand out, and a bike workshop area was incorporated to allow for on-the-spot repairs and adjustments.
A bold shopfront design catches the attention with a large glass façade, enticing passersby to enter and experience the adventure within. The distinctive white-on-red signage was used throughout the shop reinforcing the brand.
The interior of the store smacks with adventure and extreme sports. With dramatic lighting and full use of height and depth, it locks the attention of the curious customer. Bicycles are raised on platforms and flipped vertically on a custom timber display structure, mimicking the positions encountered in an intense off-road experience and creating a visual story for the customer. The asymmetrical layout of the shop creates spacious walkways to view each item, as well as adding a dynamic energy to the space.
Custom mild steel display units vary the heights of the products, creating interest and focal points throughout this retail interior design space. Stacking the products vertically also opened up more floor space to allow for better shopping flow.
Black walls and rough screed floors add to the industrial, rugged look. The bike workshop area is a functional space to allow the shop to offer on-site work, and is open for customers to view work in progress.
A custom slat-wall panel system was created for versatile merchandise display, adjustable to suit the size of the product, with spotlighting highlighting each piece.
