One of the key requirements for this redesign was to create a spacious feel for the home. We opted for an open design with seamless connectivity between the living room and bedroom areas to facilitate that.
The previous wall and sliding doors were tactfully replaced with motorized binds to offer privacy without compromising the open design. The dynamic design creates the perfect visual statement while offering an effective spatial solution.
One of the key objectives of the design was to achieve a luxe-hotel feel. We deployed wall panels with a focus on concealing wires and bare surfaces and complimented the visual feel with a decorative metal laminate. Additionally, integrated lighting was applied to the ceiling above the dining area to create a sense of elevation across the space. To implement a separation between the living and kitchen spaces, we added a sliding pocket door.
Kitchens are a space where conventionally, the focus is on appliances and cabinetry. For this design, we explored beyond the traditional layout to shift to an open feel with a sleek look. Our design approach features appliances required for the minimal cooking requirements along with dedicated cabinets to conceal the washing machine. The result was a revamped modern feel with an open look.
The bedroom is one of the most functional aspects of any home. For this BTO renovation, the bedroom redesign was focused on maximizing space. We added a platform bed and built-in wardrobe with mirror sliding doors to create more a more spacious outlook.
The integration of carpentry around the airconditioner created a seamless and visually coherent appearance. The focal point of the entire design is the striking marble wall feature that adds a hint of luxury. Textured ceiling paint further compliments the design to create a harmonious connectivity. Design features in the room are also supplemented with warm spotlights, cove lights, and accent lighting on the platform bed.
Conventionally, 2-room BTO units come with compact bathrooms that limit the design possibilities. We reimagined the possibilities to incorporate a bathtub into the bathroom and offer a spa-like experience. The design was further accentuated with translucent acrylic panels to refresh sophistication. The underlying marble design highlighted the overall texture.
Consistent with the broader design language of the home, we opted for textured paint on the walls. The ceiling transformation featured a statement design. For functional utility, we added built-in cabinets for organized storage to deliver the perfect matrimony of aesthetics and functionality.
